Change in Training Venue and Times: 21 August - 3rd September 2023

Due to closure of the recreation centre over the period 21 August  - 03 September we will be temporarily training at a different location and times as follows:

Venue: Johsonville Salvation Army Sports Hall, 125-137 Johnsonville Road

Monday 21^st August 2023: 8.30pm – 9.30pm (seniors only)

Thursday 24^th August 2023: 8.30pm – 10.30pm (seniors + members in armour with permission)

Saturday 26^th August 2023: 1pm – 4pm (all members)

Monday 28^th August 2023: 8.30pm – 9.30pm (seniors only)

Thursday 31^st August 2023: 8.30pm – 10.30pm (seniors + members in armour with permission)

Saturday 2^nd September 2023: 1pm – 4pm (all members)

Congratulations Masaki Nakazono 6th Dan Kendo (14 May 2023)

Masaki passed his 6th dan examination on 14 May 2023 in Japan. A massive achievement that takes alot of dedication and training to achieve. 

Rembuden Kendo Club Champions

Kings Birthday Weekend 03 & 04 June 2023: Rembuden Kendo Club members had a successful weekend in Auckland competing at both the 6th Inoue Hai Kendo Tournament and also North Island Kendo Championships. Results for our club members were excellent - 1st place in all events, the sole exception being the North Island Men's individual:

1st Inoue Hai Team: Rembuden A (Max Lee, Rob Challies, Martin Lee)

1st Inoue Hai Kata: Max Lee & Rob Challies

1st North Island Women's Individual: Sui Ellin

3rd North Island Men's Individual: Zac Chai

1st North Island Team: Rembuden (Zac Chai, Max Lee, Haruko Tsuzuki, Rob Challies, Sui Ellin)
