15th World Kendo Championships - Italy

In May of this year 2 Rembuden Kendo Club members (Walter McCahon & Rob Challies) attended the 15th World Kendo Championships in Novara, Italy. 

The New Zealand men's team recieved the best result so far in this tournament, defeating Macau, Portugal and Mexico to advance to the quarter finals. Team NZ were eventually knocked out by a very strong Korean team.

Team NZ returned home with it's first ever top 8 result, and a fighting spirit award.

2012 National Championship Results

The NZKF 2012 National Championships were held in Christchurch this Year. Rembuden had a strong showing with the following results:

Mens Kyu Championship - First Place (Maiki Potaka)
Mens Dan Championship - First Place (Rob Challies)
Mens Team Championship -  First Place (Walter McCahon, Rob Challies, Masaki Nakazono, Jungwook Lee, Maiki Potaka)

2012 - NEW TRAINING TIMES

Hi all,

2012 will see new training times on Tuesday and Thursday, Saturday will remian the same.

Tuesday: 7:00pm - 9:00pm.
Thursday: 7:00pm - 9:00pm.
Saturday: 10:00am - 12:00

Please ensure that you are there and ready to go with Tare and Do on at 7:00pm so we can make the most of our precious training time.

Tuesday and Thursday at Kelburn Campus, Saturday in Karori.
